The Monarch chessmen in ebony & boxwood by The Regency Chess Company. These large, luxury chess pieces feature Bridled knights and distinctively wide bases. The set itself is unquestionably Staunton in design with a handful of adapted elements that make this set unique. The Queen is probably the most obvious, with her rather convex 'water drop' crown and tapered shank. Every piece is weighted threefold and has a baise lined underside. The standard of workmanship is unmatched - uniformity, balance and attention to detail is evident throughout. This luxury set includes four Queens and a Authenticity certificate stamped by the makers.
