Moshi Monsters was a British web browser massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) geared at children aged 6oe12 that had over 80 million registered participants in 150 countries across the globe at the time of its closure in 2011. Users may pick from one of six virtual pet monsters (Katsuma, Poppet, Furi, Zommer, Luvli, and Diavlo) that they could create, name, and care for. Users could also construct and name their own virtual pet monsters. Using their custom-made pet, players may navigate their way about Monstro City, participate in daily puzzle tasks to earn 'Rox' (virtual money), play games, decorate their space, and connect with other users in a secure atmosphere, although this has been called into question.As a result of the game's reliance on Adobe Flash Player, which will no longer be supported after December 31, 2020, the game's servers were formally shut down on December 13, 2019.Children's bedtime tales and guided mindfulness meditations are included in the Moshi smartphone application, which is maintained by Mind Candy as an active use of the "Moshi" intellectual property.
