"New Edition. revised, Enlarged, Brought Up to Date, and Fully illustrated." Poor condition overall. Viii, 2056 pp, 26 pages adverts at rear. Quarter bound, with olive green cloth covered boards, with pronounced edgewear, bumping and fraying. The spine's wrap-around material is heavily cracked and chipped, with fragments missing. The front free endpaper, title page, plus a couple more pages, are present, but detached, and show pronounced edgewear. The binding of the block (darkened and marked) itself seems secure however, and the content pages themselves are in Good condition, being free of foxing, with only very occasional marks or stains noted. All coloured plates are present, and retain their quality and clarity. The weight of the book (approx 2.5 kgs) incurs a small extra delivery charge.
