Mysterium Magnum, Or An Exposition of the First Book of Moses called Genesis by Jacob Boehme - Volumes I &II, 1924 Edition Translated by John Sparrow Jacob Boehme (1575 - 1624) was a German philosopher, Christian mystic, and Lutheran Protestant theologian. He was considered an original thinker by many of his contemporaries within the Lutheran tradition. He wrote Mysterium Magnum, his major work, in 1623. Both volumes are in good condition. Discolouration and foxing to pages and edges. Occasional text is lightly underlined in pencil and green ink. Front free endpapers are inscribed in green ink and dated '43. Hardcovers are showing signs of wear.
