Nortec's Alp 2.0 micro crampons are for lightweight winter trekking and mountaineering approaches. They are ideal for ice, hard snow, and frozen undergrowth due to the system of different tip lengths; there are 13 steel crampon spikes at 7 and 17mm long for both grip and stability. The front crampon panel is hinged to prevent the accumulation of snow and ice. They are quick and easy to fit with excellent adhesion to the shoe thanks to the Velcro band above the foot and rear puller, which also makes removing the crampons straightforward. The crampon plates and short link chain are made of high-quality steel to assure reliability and durability, while the upper is made of high-tech silicone elastomer that has been tested down to -60degC to ensure performance in tough conditions. They come with a compact and practical storage bag that prevents the tips of the micro crampons from damaging your backpack. The sturdy and durable nylon bag closes with a zip and features a perforated panel to allow your wet micro crampons to dry quickly.

Read more about Ellis Brigham
Ellis Brigham was born in 1933, the brainchild of Frederick Ellis Brigham, who set up business making cycling shoes and walking boots in a tiny 'two up, two down' building on the outskirts of Manchester.
After the war, as mountain walking and climbing became more and more popular, the shop began to sell ex-WD climbing equipment and Brigham's boots with their special nailing patterns became very sought after.
Fast forward almost 80 years and Ellis Brigham now has 24 shops across the UK and a leading website, making it the UK's premier retailer for ski hardware, mountaineering equipment and outdoor clothing.
