Handwritten note in ink to the front free endpaper "With the Compiler's Compls., August 1878. Also on the FFEP is the impressed stamp of Samuel Dobble Major (the Compiler), 7 Charlotte St., Bath. See photographs. An early guide to the City of Bath. Frontispiece (the Abbey) plus three illustrations. Sixteen pages of advertising at the back. Overall in Good condition. Contents are clean and complete. Paper cover lacks much of the backstrip, and both front and rear of the cover have small nicks to the edges. Some of the advertising pages are loose. Rear cover is partly detached from the text block. See photographs.
