Originally published in February 1926, this title soon earned a reprint in the same year. Known as a philosopher, after the birth of his two children, Russell became interested in education, especially early childhood education. He was not satisfied with the old traditional education and thought that progressive education also had some flaws. As a result, together with Dora, his wife, he founded the experimental Beacon Hill School in 1927. In this book he outlines educational ideals, the education of character and intellectual education. Hardback with no dustjacket. Fading and wear to spine. Corners bumped on boards. Stains to endpapers and bottom edge and some pages. Previous owner's name on ffep. Foxing throughout. Small tears to some pages. Binding a little loose.
