The Ortovox Rescue Set Diract is ideal for skiers and snowboarders new to the backcountry. The kit contains the three essential pieces of avalanche safety equipment: a Diract transceiver, an Alu 240 probe, and a Badger Shovel. Ortovox designed the items to be lightweight, reliable, and intuitive, making them easy to use in stressful situations. The Diract transceiver is a digital three-antenna device with Bluetooth connectivity and Smart-Antenna-Technology. The unit automatically switches to the best transmitting antenna for searching transceivers to pick up, providing up to double the range and making you faster to find. The Alu 240 is a lightweight aluminium probe with a 240cm length. Featuring a quick-lock assembly system, you can deploy it in seconds and put it away just as fast. A large probe tip delivers better snow penetration; clear 1-meter markings make it easy to read the snow depth. The Badger Shovel features Ortovox's ergonomic hybrid grip and shaped 2.5-litre blade to enable effective snow shovelling. The superlight aluminium construction features high sidewalls and a pronounced centre ridge for improved power and rigidity. The collapsible shaft is quick to assemble and gives a smaller pack size to aid transportation.

Ellis Brigham was born in 1933, the brainchild of Frederick Ellis Brigham, who set up business making cycling shoes and walking boots in a tiny 'two up, two down' building on the outskirts of Manchester.
After the war, as mountain walking and climbing became more and more popular, the shop began to sell ex-WD climbing equipment and Brigham's boots with their special nailing patterns became very sought after.
Fast forward almost 80 years and Ellis Brigham now has 24 shops across the UK and a leading website, making it the UK's premier retailer for ski hardware, mountaineering equipment and outdoor clothing.
