With vivid deep purple centres that contrast with sun-kissed yellow-tipped flower petals, they will look amazing in decorative patio pots and containers. These wonderful flowers will bloom all summer long when the full sun allows them to bloom to their full potential. The osteospermum ? Purple Sun will certainly be an eye-catching talking point at your summer garden parties! They have a neat, compact and well rounded growing habit which makes them perfect for displaying pride of place flower beds containers and flower borders. Try also planting these magnificent flowers in rockeries for a vibrant and exotic display. Like most osteospermum, this plant is suited to well-drained soil - avoid cold, wet soil to get the best out of it. Flowers June-August. Height 40-50cm (16-20). Caring for your Osteospermum Plant out at about the time of your last spring frost. Cut as soon as they open, osteospermum ? Purple Sun make great cut flowers. As plants age, they sometimes develop problems with powdery mildew. Aphids may occasionally feed on new growing tips and buds. Pinch off large colonies.
