POC are known as one of the leaders when it comes to safety and innovation in helmet technology and with the Fornix, it is easy to see why. The in-mould construction fuses a tough polycarbonate outer shell to an impact-absorbing EPS foam creating a helmet that is lightweight and comfortable to wear. What's unique are the Aramid Bridges integrated into the EPS foam; often used in the aerospace and military industry, they add structural strength to the helmet and help dissipate energy from an impact over a larger surface area. To further increase safety POC have added MIPS, a low-friction layer that sits between the liner and shell enabling a small amount of movement between them; in the event of an angled impact or fall, this movement helps to re-direct energy away from the head. The active ventilation is highly adjustable by sliding a button on the outer shell; keep the vents closed for cold conditions or open them right up for warm days and hiking in the backcountry. Chimney vents sit above the goggle area drawing hot air away and helping to keep lenses clear from fogging. The discreet size adjuster provides a tailored, secure fit by simply twisting the dial at the rear, and a clip at the back of the helmet keeps goggles securely in place. This colourway was designed for freeride snowboard legend Jeremy Jones with a percentage of sales going towards the charity he founded, Protect Our Winters. Size Guide Small Medium/Large X-Large 51-54cm 55-58cm 59-62cm Click here for more information on our Size & Fit Guide Venting: Active Sizing System: Adjustable Weight: 420g Construction: In-mould Safety standard: EN 1077 Class B, ASTM F 2040 Aramid Bridges are moulded to the EPS liner, which in the event of a crash, means the impact forces are spread over a larger surface area. This Aramid weave enables POC to make a helmet that is structurally strong and lightweight. Venting Active ventilation can be adjusted at the slide of a button giving optimum temperature control from the depths of winter to warm spring days hiking in the backcountry. Goggle chimney vents allow hot air to escape from the top of goggles and through the helmet, improving anti-fog performance. Sizing System An interior size adjustment system allows the wearer to find an ideal fit by simply twisting the dial at the rear. Construction In-mould helmet construction uses a tough polycarbonate outer shell which is moulded to the helmet's impact-absorbing EPS foam liner, with added integrated Aramid Bridges. This construction makes for a lightweight, low profile and comfortable helmet.

Ellis Brigham was born in 1933, the brainchild of Frederick Ellis Brigham, who set up business making cycling shoes and walking boots in a tiny 'two up, two down' building on the outskirts of Manchester.

After the war, as mountain walking and climbing became more and more popular, the shop began to sell ex-WD climbing equipment and Brigham's boots with their special nailing patterns became very sought after.

Fast forward almost 80 years and Ellis Brigham now has 24 shops across the UK and a leading website, making it the UK's premier retailer for ski hardware, mountaineering equipment and outdoor clothing.
