Simply pinch the tips of the newly grown shoots several times with your thumb and forefinger in the spring and the tree will remain in shape.The Wonder Tree range of fruit trees includes the very best fruit tree varieties, carefully selected for their flavour, disease resistance, hardiness and ease of cultivation. Widely regarded as one of the most flavoursome dessert varieties available, Pear 'Doyenne du Comice' has a rich, perfumed flavour that other cultivars struggle to attain. The large, sweet fruits have a melt-in-the-mouth texture. Harvest them in October and they will store well into November.Not only can you enjoy the fruit from this Wonder Tree, but it also makes a handsome ornamental specimen with white blossom in April that attracts beneficial pollinators.
