Vintage 9ct gold cultured pearl necklace with 9k gold seed pearl set clasp. A lovely vintage pearl necklace in good condition with a 9ct gold hallmarked clasp set with small split pearls. Hallmarked for Birmingham, 375 & dates 1979. The pearls fall into the larger pearl range of 6.9mm - 7.3mm & are a white colour with some surface imperfections associated with a natural & ocean grown organic product. The nacre of the pearls is good & they have good luminosity. These pearls have been individually hand knotted to silk & the stringing looks to be original to the strand & is still good, may benefit from being restrung in the future in the interest of the long term care of the strand. This delightful necklace will come in a necklace presentation box & would make a great gift for that special person. These are a great size pearls & are a versatile necklace length that works for any occasion. The first picture is a fairly good illustration of the strands colour, all photos taken in daylight (dull day). Pearls are saltwater cultured, 6.9mm - 7.2mm size range Necklace length of 42cm, or 16 inches Clasp 9ct yellow gold set with seed pearls & hallmarked as above Condition is very good preloved, cleaned as above Will come in a necklace presentation box.
