Green cloth spine. Pictorial front cover with red border. Full page colour illustrations, which are still bright, and other black and white drawings throughout. Text block has separated from the boards, but is intact in itself, though cloth spine feels a little fragile. Top 1.5 cm of spine is damaged. Cover edges and corners are bumped or chipped in places. Prize inscription to front endpaper. Rear facing endpaper is partly detached and creased in lower 5 cm. Some foxing to pages, more evident towards front of the book. See photos for detail. Undated but believed to be 1922. The story chronicles a journey made by a group of travellers, including a number of animals, and describes the adventures that befall the hero Peter as he searches for a friend with each adventure increasing the size of his party.
