Petrit Halilaj: Koelnischer Kunstverein; Bundeskunsthalle; Kunst Halle Sankt Gallen, Verlag der Buchhandlung Walter Koenig, Cologne, 2015, 193 pp; German-and English-language large-format paperback with dustjacket. Very good condition. This dual-language (German and English) paperback is the catalogue for three exhibitions of the work of the Kosovar contemporary artist Petrit Halilaj: Abetare at the Koelnischer Kunstverein in Cologne and She, fully turning around, became terrestrial at the Bundeskunsthalle in Bonn in 2015, and looking back to Who does the earth belong to while painting the wind?! in St Gallen in 2012. Halilaj's work touches repeatedly on the recent history of the Balkan region and the conflicts that have erupted there. There are copious colour illustrations throughout the volume, as well as short essays in both languages on each of the exhibitions. The book starts off with a preface by the directors of the three galleries and there are also detailed listings of the illustrated works.
