Philip's Reference Map Of Great Britain And Ireland George Philip & Son Ltd. The London Geographical Institute. Copyright 1945. This large cloth-backed map (c. 1945) is in very good condition. In its folded state it is 7.5 x 5.5 x 1". In its unfolded state it is 38 x 45.5". There are very few marks or blemishes affecting this map. The folds between map sections have become a little grubby from frequent handling. This is most noticeable on the map's reverse. We shall photograph this for closer inspection. There are no tears in the map and no areas of loss. There are no holes where horizontal and vertical folds meet which is something one usually finds. This map folds in and out with ease. It is not an unwieldy sheet that you are going to struggle with. The map is bright with its colours remaining vibrant. All text is clear and well-defined. This is used map in very good condition. A fascinating piece.
