This book contains Poems by and articles, reviews and letters by Kate Griffith, published after her death, including one on popular archeology. Kate Bradbury Griffith aka Kate Griffith (nee Bradbury) (1854 - 1902) was a British Egyptologist who assisted in the early development of the Egypt Exploration Society and the Department of Egyptology at University College London (UCL). Inside the front cover is a With Compliments card from Mr F. LL. Griffith the husband of Kate Griffith Francis Llewellyn Griffith FBA FSA (1862 - 1934) who was an eminent British Egyptologist of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. On the first page is a dedication, "Herbert Thompson a gift from F. LL. G. 1903". Sir Henry Francis Herbert Thompson, 2nd Baronet. aka Herbert Thompson (1859 - 1944) was a British Egyptologist. was a lecturer and fellow at University College London, and chairman of the Golders Green Crematorium. There is a chair established in his name at Cambridge University; the Sir Herbert Thompson Professor of Egyptology. Included with the book is an address by Rev Armitage for C. T. Bradbury (1827-1907) 19th April, 1907. C. T Bradbury was Kate's businessman father. Rather grubby outside, clean inside, binding tight except for crack in front of title page which is still holding firm.
