While this is fine for road use, offering good NVH (noise, vibration & handling) properties and low cost, for fast road and trackday use, OE rubber bushes can quickly prove to be the weak link to your suspension, especially after upgrading other performance components like tyres and suspension. With age and wear, rubber bushes can introduce undesirable compliance, which can allow motion in all directions, not just the intended one the suspension component was designed to move in. This can negatively affect the alignment of the car under load, introducing geometry and handling characteristics that you don't expect or want, potentially causing premature wear to brakes, tyres and other suspension components.Powerflex bushes are manufactured from tough polyurethane compounds that do not suffer from age-related perishing and failures seen in many OE rubber bushes. Their Road Series (purple) bushes use their SHORE 80A compound. These bushes are on average 25-30% stiffer than stock rubber bushes, whilst retaining OE-level noise absorption properties.Using Powerflex Road Series bushes will help ensure the rest of your suspension does exactly what it is supposed to.Please note:-*Powerflex now offer a lifetime warranty on their entire Road Series product range.
