The Presidium Synthetic Diamond Screener II is a professional and compact tester for measuring a diamond`s UV light transmittance ability, therefore identifying if it is a synthetic or natural stone. Presidium are a leading manufacturer of high quality Gemmological Instruments and distribute to institutes, laboratories, jewellery manufacturers, diamond appraisal and retail businesses worldwide. Featuring advanced technology, this reliable screener helps identify whether your diamond is Type 2a colourless (synthetic) or Type 1a colourless (natural) through either low or high UV absorption. It has the ability to test on polished diamonds of the most popular cuts; Brilliant, Emerald and Baguette from 1.5mm wide up to 5mm in height (0.02ct - 10ct), D-J colour. The 5mm metal bar conveniently tests either loose or mounted Diamonds with open back settings and will return clear results within 2 seconds. Other features include; auto shutdown of interior LED light to ensure safe testing when the lid is open, auto shutdown after 10 minutes of no use, low battery indicator and a USB port for an alternative power source. Supplied with a protective case, the unit has a foam base which prevents movement and damage to surfaces. All Presidium products are RoHS Compliant with the RoHS regulation as well as 4R Compliant with WEEE regulations. Please note - this product has been ASSURE tested, meaning it meets the universal standard to test the performance of Diamond Verification Instruments as developed by the Diamond Producers Association (DPA). Powered by 4 x AAA alkaline batteries. Supplied with a UK 3 Pin converter as an alternative power supply. Please see instruction booklet on how to use this product attached in the FAQs below.
