Lydia Eva, YH89, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk Built in 1930 at King's Lynn, the coal-fired steam herring drifter Lydia Eva fished out of her home port of great Yarmouth for eight years before working for the Royal Air Force. Acquired by the maritime trust and restored in 1973, she is seen here at south quay- the last of the hundreds of such vessels that sailed from Yarmouth Keven to reap the harvest in the southern north sea; a reminder of the vanished herring of East Anglia.
