Very scarce print of Rouen Cathedral, engraved by Thomas Higham, from a drawing by JMW Turner. It was included in a book 'Wanderings by the Seine' by Leitch Ritchie (this print in its context, can be viewed on page 150 of the Internet Archive copy). Copies are held by Harvard (M8112) and the Tate Gallery (T05606) and can be viewed on their websites. This copy is unusual in that it seems to have been hand-tinted quite intricately, perhaps by the engraver. Very good condition for its age - a little age-browning on the edges. Ideal framing project.
