A book based on a talk given by Professor Denis Twitchett, Princeton University. This copy was designed by Banks and Miles and distributed to their friends Christmas 1983. It is signed for Ian from Colin Banks and John (Miles) It has a label attached giving the owner, Ian Loveday and his address. It has a cream softcover and a dust jacket saying a gift from Banks and Miles to typographical friends and the title of the book. Banks and Miles are typographical designers. The dust jacket has a line of discolouration across the top and the spine and one very small tear at the bottom. The cover and pages are in good, clean condition.
