RAVATHERM XPS X 300 SB previously known as Ravago Floormate 300A Styrofoam is an extruded polystyrene (XPS) board with high performance and versatility for the thermal insulation of home and industrial floors, basement and/or cellar perimeter walls. Ravatherm XPS X 300 SB extruded polystyrene thermal insulation can be used in a wide range of applications. It has a number of beneficial properties thanks to its homogeneous, closed-cell material structure: permanently high thermal insulation level negligible moisture uptake high strength and rigidity dimensional stability resistance to rot and deterioration simple and quick installation with only a small amount of waste. Ravatherm XPS X 300 SB is excellent for thermal insulation in: domestic floors industrial floors cold storage floors speciality floors BENEFITS Ravatherm XPS X 300 SB thermal insulation is manufactured by an extrusion process, resulting in a homogeneous, closed-cell material structure, a smooth surface skin (extrusion skin) and many favourable material properties: permanently high thermal insulation performance water resistance high compressive strength high flexible rigidity high vapour diffusion resistance This board is available in the following thicknesses: 50mm 75mm 100mm TECHNICAL INFORMATION STRUCTURES IN CONTACT WITH THE SOIL To avoid creating a thermal bridge, Ravatherm XPS X 300 SB boards with butt edge finishing must be laid with no gaps between the boards. The thermal insulation can be cut easily and accurately using hand tools. The maximum installation depth of the thermal insulation is determined by the load: the horizontal pressure must not exceed the compressive strength of the boards, taking into account the value of the permanent load. FLOORS In the case of a compressed gravel bed or thin blind concrete, Ravatherm XPS X 300 SB thermal insulation must be laid down directly using screed levelling if required. If the thermal insulation is installed above the waterproofing membrane, it serves as a mechanical protective layer. In the case of domestic floors and floor heating, the heavy-duty heat-insulating layer provides a firm base for the base concrete (screed) and underfloor heating. Heating pipes can be fastened directly to the thermal insulation. IMPORTANT The permanent application temperature of Ravatherm XPS X products is. 75degC maximum. At higher temperatures, the boards will start to soften and suffer permanent deformation. Ravatherm XPS X products contain an ecologically safe flame-retardant additive, as a result of which they will be self-extinguishing under their ignition temperature. They will, however, burn if exposed to an intensive ignition source. Ravatherm XPS X products are compatible with commonly-used construction materials which don't contain solvents or softeners (bituminous components without solvents, water-based wall protecting materials, lime, cement, masonry mortars and plasters, anhydrous gypsum etc). Certain organic materials, such as solvent-based wood preservatives, paint additives, solvents (acetone, ethyl acetate, kerosene, gasoline etc.) will cause softening, shrinking and damage to the material. For gluing, solvent-free adhesives must be used. Follow the supplier's guidance. Ravatherm XPS X products must not be exposed to permanent intensive direct sunlight.
