Promotion: High-end audio fidelity with four transparent preamps Combining high-end analog circuitry with cutting-edge digital conversion technology the Fireface 802 FS balanced TRS and XLR I/Os along with the headphone outputs deliver exceptionally low noise and distortion values. With A/D and D/A converters operating at up to 192 kHz high dynamic range playback is guaranteed. The interfaces superior SteadyClock FS ensures state-of-the-art AD/DA conversion even when using an external clock source. Equipped with four transparent preamps the Fireface 802 FS ensures pristine sound quality for microphones and instruments. These preamps incorporate low-latency converters and are based on the high-end OctaMic II preamp technology. They offer minimal distortion a high signal-to-noise ratio and a linear frequency response making them suitable for a wide range of applications. The front inputs can also function as Hi-Z inputs allowing direct connection of guitars and other instruments without the need for additional hardware. Exceptional flexibility with high-end clock technology The RME Fireface 802 FS is an exceptional USB audio interface that will take your recording setup to new heights. With ultra-low latency operation and RMEs renowned driver stability this interface ensures professional-grade performance. The included SteadyClock FS technology provides jitter suppression for crystal-clear audio. Plus the Fireface 802 FS offers full stand-alone functionality and works seamlessly on both Windows PC and Mac. The Fireface 802 FS boasts a newly developed analog and digital board delivering enhanced performance and advanced features. The analog board offers DC-coupled analog outputs and state-of-the-art AD and DA converters. On the digital board you can find updated high-tech components that enable exciting new functionalities. Wide range of connectivity options including headphone outputs The front panel of the Fireface 802 FS is equipped with four high-performance XLR/TRS combo inputs. These inputs can handle microphone instrument and line signals with ease. Additionally two stereo headphone jacks with +17 dBu output level provide ample volume even for hi-impedance headphones. At the rear panel youll find a wide range of connectivity options on the Fireface 802 FS. MIDI and Word Clock I/O two optical ADAT I/Os an AES/EBU I/O and eight balanced analog inputs and outputs with line level are all available. The updated Multi-Mode even allows the ADAT I/Os to function as separate optical SPDIF inputs and outputs alongside the AES I/O. For added convenience a USB A port is provided for direct connection to the optional ARC USB. DC-coupled line-level outputs make the Fireface 802 FS ideal for controlling modular synthesizers and other studio hardware. Unlike AC-coupled outputs found on many other interfaces the DC-coupled outputs ensure that control voltages (CV) and Gate information can be accurately transmitted to modular synths such as Eurorack and Moog/MOTM/Synthesizers formats. Complete with software bundle including TotalMix FX DSP Mixer The Fireface 802 FS comes bundled with powerful applications for mixing monitoring and measurement. The TotalMix FX DSP mixer offers comprehensive routing and monitoring options allowing you to create multiple latency-free monitor mixes with EQ dynamics reverb and delay. The interface also includes the DigiCheck Analyzer which enables precise measurement and analysis of the digital data feed in both directions. Class-compliant design Operating in both driver-based USB 2 and Class Compliant modes the Fireface 802 FS offers flexibility and compatibility. The Class Compliant mode is natively supported by operating systems like Windows Mac OSX and Linux. No proprietary drivers are required resulting in hassle-free recognition of the device. This interface supports USB 2.0 in Class Compliant Mode allowing for driverless operation on Linux Mac and iPadOS. ARC USB remote control (not included) For convenient control over the Fireface 802 FS you can connect the optional ARC USB. This USB 1.1 MIDI remote control directly interfaces with the TotalMix FX software providing 15 assignable and illuminated buttons an encoder wheel and a foot switch jack. The ARC USB is compatible with both Windows and Mac OS X and TotalMix FX will automatically detect and communicate with it for easy control of the interface. The Fireface 802 FS can be configured and controlled directly via iPad MIDI remote or ARC USB. With 6 memory slots for permanent configuration storage the interface can operate independently from a computer. It can even transform itself into different devices with a simple button press thanks to its stand-alone operation feature.
