These books of guidance show what sort of advice was available on marriage and birth control in the post WW2 years. The Realities of Marriage - A Book of Guidance for Men and Women was written by Dr. G Courtenay Beale. This third revised edition of 1946 is missing its dust jacket but is in very good condition. Hardback, 19 x 12.5cm, 204 pages, published by Wales Publishing Co. Modern Marriage was written by Edward F Griffith, a propagandist for birth control and sex education. Hardback, no dust jacket, 19 x 13cm, 303 pages, published by Methuen & Co. There is some foxing on the end pages but the book is in good condition. Handbook of Marriage was written by Evelyn Home who gave advice and was agony aunt for Woman magazine for many years. This paperback edition is a fourth edition of November 1955 and is in very good condition. 18 x 12cm, 72 pages, published by Gollancz.
