An attractive, chunky bangle made from silver plated copper & a red abaolone shell cabochon. Abalone shell is a natural substance, therefore will vary in colour & appearance. The rich red effect is achieved by over dyeing natural abalone shell. This process enhances the beautiful marbling effect. The colour is a rich, vibrant shade of varying reds with black veins. The one in the photograph is the one you will receive. DIMENSIONS The bangle is made from shiny silver plated copper. Copper is a malleable metal, therefore size adjustment can be carried out. The bangle is open & will fit wrist sizes from 15cm (6 inch) to 20cm (8 inch). Size adjustment is achieved by either squeezing the ends inwardly together to make smaller or by expanding them outwards to make wider. The silver plated bezel housing the focal cabochon is oval measuring 3cm (1 & 1/4 inch ) x 2.2cm (3/4 inch ). The abalone cabochon is oval & flat. Shell is naturally a brittle material, therefore the cabochon has a protective resin coating. This gives it a polished & reflective appearance. It measures 2.5cm (1 inch) x 1.8cm (5/8 inch).
