Redback's mini catalytic converter is designed for cars with cat replacement pipes. It mounts onto the cat replacement pipe lambda sensor hole and filters the exhaust gasses going to the lambda sensor. On cars with cat replacement pipes this will mean the lambda sensor is reading the exhaust gasses through mini catalytic converter. This should remove the emissions warning light and prevent any ECU issues.Prevents fault codes and EML illumination on vehicles fitted with cat bypass pipesFits into the Lambda sensor port (M18 x 1.5 thread)Universal fittingPlease note that this only filters gas going to the lambda sensor, not gas leaving the rear of the exhaust. While a vehicle fitted with one of these will not show an error light it will not pass an emissions test.PLEASE BE AWARE: Sports cats can NOT legally be installed on a vehicle for use on a public road that was manufactured after 1st March 2001 unless type ECE 103R approved. Fitting a De Cat / Cat Bypass or GPF delete / bypass to a vehicle that is to be used on UK roads will cause the vehicle to fail the MOT emissions test, therefore rendering it unroadworthy and illegal to be used on the road.Generally speaking, replacing your stock cat will also require a remap, as the ECU will be getting different readings from the Lambda sensors in the exhaust which will probably read as an error. Normally an upgraded cat is an essential part of the highest-performing upgrade packages.
