Fingers & Thumbs: A Project of Preliminary Exercises at the Pianoforte by Mary Symons Mary Symons enrolled as a student at the Royal Academy of Music in 1916, where she studied violin with Eric Coates and Frederick Corder and won a bronze medal for pianoforte. She graduated in 1919 with a LRAM for pianoforte. Her brother Karl Henry Culpin (1893-1917) was a good friend of T.S. Eliot while they were at Merton College, Oxford. Old sticker residue on front cover, some rubbing/reading-wear along front cover near spine. Some general wear/light discolouration to covers commensurate with age.
