While the original calipers fitted are in many cases more than up to the job, the original discs weren't ideal.While the wavy pattern certainly looks good, Revo found that the pattern of cooling vanes didn't work on one side, leading to uneven cooling.Revo's replacements have a bigger surface area, and directional vanes ensuring you're always getting the best possible heat dissipation. The surface is dimpled to allow gasses to escape from between the pad and the surface of the disc under heavy braking.The factory discs are one-piece as well, which can lead to warping as they expand with heat under heavy use.Revo's two-piece disc design allows the outer part of the disc to expand independently of the inside. This means that you don't have the same potential for warping.
