Promotion: Based On System-100m’s 150 & 165 Modules The Roland System-500 555 LAG/S&H is a unique and compact Eurorack module that bases its design on the Roland System-100m’s 150 and 165 modules incorporating some of the best functionality from both. The Roland System-100m’s is a highly revered modular synth from the 1970s known for its innovative circuitry and vast tonality. Roland have teamed up with Malekko to incorporate the highly sought-after modular section from the original synth into a compact and portable Eurorack-format module. Five-In-One Powerhouse This flexible Eurorack module combines the best functions and circuits hand-picked from the 160 and 165 modules. The module is comprised of five sections in total each clearly annotated and featuring dedicated parameters for certain functions. One of the most prominent features is the S&H section. S&H stands for ‘Sample and Hold’ which is an analog device which captures the voltage of a continuously varying signal and locks it at current value at a constant level for sound design experimentation. This section features two faders as well as a rotary control for toggling between waveforms. A portamento circuit is also includes with dual CV inputs and a CV output. Noise and Ring Modulation patch points are included for unconventional modulation capabilities. There is also a dedicated LFO section with selectable frequency ranges and a range of CV outputs for a varied selection of waveforms.
