The Rossignol Experience 86 Basalt has a rich history of all-mountain performance with no skimping on hard snow response, delivering solid handling and superior stability for adventurous skiers. The All Trail Sidecut ensures quick engagement and unwavering stability on any terrain, which along with the 86mm waist will encourage you to escape the crowded pistes and search more of the mountain. Assisting this all-condition focus is the Drive Tip Solution, a cutting-edge feature that combines directional fibres for power and grip, and a soft material near the ski tip to dampen vibrations and smooth the ride. Ski fast, carve with precision, dip off the side of the piste or explore even further - this ski has it all. Terrain Type & Ability Level Terrain Type They're predominantly for the pistes and love to be on an edge, carving at speed. Thanks to a little extra width and rocker, they happily play out in slightly softer snow and slushy pistes with ease. Skier Type For the all-mountain skier who spends most of their time on firmer snow conditions but can't resist playing in the soft snow when the conditions are right, 86mm is just right. This skier desires good levels of grip grip and performance at high speeds as well. They love the thrill of a well-executed carve but also seek versatility for more adventurous moments too. Overview Shape The All Trail Sidecut incorporates classic piste shaping, with the widest points deep into the tip for maximum edge hold and a medium to short radius for traditional piste performance. However, it adds a touch of rocker and a wider waist profile, resulting in a ski that feels agile on the piste while remaining equally comfortable rallying around at the sides or handling choppy terrain. Rocker All Trail Rocker, both tip and tail rocker that's been adapted for every terrain and snow condition, delivering a balanced blend of hard snow precision and soft snow playfulness. Core The paulownia wood core significantly reduces weight by up to 30%, leading to improved agility, manoeuvrability, and control. Additionally, the incorporation of basalt fibers, which are both stronger and lighter than fiberglass and possess greater elasticity than carbon, contributes to heightened power, stability, and vibration reduction in the ski core. Stronger and lighter than fiberglass and with more elasticity than carbon, BASALT fibers enhance power and stability while removing vibrations. Construction Rectangular Full Sidewall - a 90 degree full sidewall construction features a horizontal layering of core materials. This design delivers optimized edge grip, precision, balance, and power. Key Features Drive Tip Solution Incorporating directional fibers in the ski's tip along with soft visco material throughout the forebody, the innovative Drive Tip Solution effectively manages and dampens vibrations when navigating challenging terrains and adverse snow conditions, enhancing overall confidence and control. Premium Hardtop The Premium Hardtop is a a ultra hardwearing topsheet designed to provide exceptional durability, ensuring the protection and longevity of your skis. EB tester's comments: Mark (Trainer) The edge grip and levels of stability were brilliant. I had total confidence to commit to every carve as they have great edge hold and feel. They handled the chopped up side pistes with ease and even through the side powder they were enjoyable to ski. Great option for skiers who stick mainly to the groomers but want a tad more stability or versaility than traditional piste skis. Ellis Brigham was born in 1933, the brainchild of Frederick Ellis Brigham, who set up business making cycling shoes and walking boots in a tiny 'two up, two down' building on the outskirts of Manchester.

After the war, as mountain walking and climbing became more and more popular, the shop began to sell ex-WD climbing equipment and Brigham's boots with their special nailing patterns became very sought after.

Fast forward almost 80 years and Ellis Brigham now has 24 shops across the UK and a leading website, making it the UK's premier retailer for ski hardware, mountaineering equipment and outdoor clothing.
