The whole, including many Rides and Tours never before reprinted, edited. by G.D.H. and Margaret Cole. vignettes by John Nash, and a map. by A.E. Taylor Limited edition, no. 962 of 1,000 sets, 3 volumes, large 8vo. 33 vignettes plus 3 repeated to the title pages, map endpapers preserved at the front of each volume. Quarter cloth with marbled paper sides, lettered and ruled in gold at the spines. Fore- and bottom edges untrimmed. Spine ends and corner tips a little rubbed. A hint of spotting to the free endpapers. Former owner signature and date Christmas 1934 to a blank preliminary of volume two and three. A lovely set of Cobbett's most celebrated work, originally published in two volumes in 1830. No dust wrappers called for, but lacking the slipcase.
