Published 2004 by the Castell Collection. Hardback. Black cloth board covers with gilt lettering. Tan dust jacket with black lettering. Endpapers depict a reproduction of 1794 painting of sailing ships in St James Bay, St Helena. Apart from some minor shelf wear to dust jacket, this book is in very good condition. This large book contains reproductions of many official Notices and Proclamations that were displayed on the island of Saint Helena during the nineteenth and early twentieth century. An essential reference work for researchers of the history of this small but strategically important island in the Atlantic. Foreword by the Hon. Mr. Justice Geoffrey Martin.
