Scabiosa caucasisca 'Fama Blue' is a beautiful perennial that will make a perfect addition to your garden this summer. Flowering over a long period, from June through to October, you are guaranteed you a spectacular display every year. The unique deep lavender-blue blooms sit proudly above its gorgeous green foliage. Thanks to its tall and straight stems, this Scabiosa caucasisca is perfect for cutting and bringing into your home, so you can enjoy its rich colour indoors. The 'Fama Blue' will thrive in a sunny and sheltered position in your garden, either in a border surrounded by other vibrant colours, or in a pot on your patio being the star of the show. It's recommended by the RHS as a 'Plant for Pollinators', thanks to its flowers that are a favourite with butterflies and bees. Plant with other flowering perennials such as Delphiniums, Agapanthus, Lupins, Poppies and Primulas to create a stunning summer display. Supplied as 2 x established plants in a 9cm pots, ready to plant out. Note - plants are dormant during October to March so may show no leaves in the pot during these months. Care Information Plant in any moist but well-drained soil and position in a sunny, sheltered position. Before planting, prepare the soil by digging over and removing any weeds. Incorporate some well-rotted manure to enrich the soil if necessary. For the best effect in your borders plant these in groups of three or more. When planting a number of perennials, arrange them on the surface so you can see how they will look before planting. Deadhead your fading flowers to encourage new blooms and prolong interest. As the temperature drops, add a top dressing of grit to improve drainage.
