Seiko Limited Edition Presage Sharp Edged 'Kabuki' Red Dial Black Leather Strap Mens Watch SPB331J1 Seiko Presage "Kabuki" Limited Edition There are just 2,000 of this limited edition chronograph timepiece available globally. This watch is one of two special designs within the Seiko Presage Sharp Edged Series, combining modern watchmaking with traditional Japanese heritage - inspired by the classical form of Japanese dance-drama: Kabuki. Kabuki theatre is known for its heavily-stylised performances, glamorous costumes and elaborate make-up. The dial and underside of the strap features the traditional Japanese colour "Kakiiro, a rich scarlet-brown tone, the colour of the costumes traditionally worn by Kabuki masters. The dials on Presage Sharp Edged timepieces feature a traditional Japanese pattern designed to bring growth and success, designs which also featured on Kabuki costumes in the Edo period and thereafter became highly fashionable. This angular ancient hemp print has been seen in Japanese artisan objects since the Heian period (794-1185) and features on textiles and interior styles. This watch features a new case design with a mirror finish on both lug sides along with a striking new two-layered dial. Seiko Presage: Timeless looks, precise mechanical timekeeping. Seiko Limtied Edition Presage 'Sharp Edged' This watch is from the Seiko Presage Sharp Edged collection, inspired by ancient and modern Japanese design. The dials on Presage Sharp Edged timepieces feature a traditional Japanese pattern designed to bring growth and success. This angular ancient hemp print has been seen in Japanese artisan objects since the Heian period (794-1185) and features on textiles and interior styles. The 6R35 movement in this timepiece gives the wearer 70 hours of power reserve. Seiko Presage: Timeless looks, precise mechanical timekeeping. Minimalistic watch designs with a distinctly Japanese aesthetic. This watch is Limited to only 2,000 pieces. The Case: The case consists of: a circular fixed bezel, a screw-down crown at 3 o'clock, a screw case back and anti-reflective sapphire, which provides the watch with optimum legibility and scratch resistance. The Dial: The design of the red textured dial is inspired by the pattern of a hemp leaf, which is a traditional Japanese leaf. The dial also exhibits further sharp, angular and refined motifs which can be seen through sword style handset which is filled with a luminescent material which enables nighttime readability. Elongated applied gold hour markers are located around the edge of the dial, a date-display window is located neatly beside the 3 o'clock marker. The Seiko logo is presented in gold beneath the 12 o'clock marker. The Bracelet: The black leather strap of the Seiko Presage Sharp Edge provides the watch a classy yet casual image. It fastens through the use of a standard buckle. The Functions: This timepiece is powered by automatic 6R35 caliber movement, which provides the watch with an accuracy of +25/-15 seconds per month and battery life of approximately 70 hours.
