This shed has a tongue and groove floor as well as shiplap tongue and groove walls, which outshines standard tongue and groove walls or overlap. The Arran Apex Garden Shed is ideal for those who require a large amount of garden storage but do not want to take up too much yard space. It has one ventilation opening window and two doors for easy access. Every aspect of this garden shed suggests a long-lasting structure, and the shiplap tongue and groove construction method contributes to its strength. The panelled walls are made of shiplap tongue and groove boards, which outperform tongue and groove sheds. Shiplap tongue and groove sheds have a profiled finish. A strong timber garden building starts with high-quality timber, so it's critical to know exactly what kind of wood is being used for your garden shed. Spruce is a more durable wood than pine and provides a greater finish. This timber grows slowly, as opposed to fast-growing British timber. Slow-grown wood has a tighter grain, less sap, and fewer knots and warping. As a result, the wood used in Shire's garden buildings is more durable and will last much longer than other woods used in garden sheds. Constructed using high quality 12mm thick softwood planed tongue and groove shiplap pattern boarding. All timber is from sustainable sources, so that you can feel good about buying a Shire shed. With a robust planed 34mm x 34mm (1 1/3' x 1 1/3') framework (walls and floor) that gives the building strength. Manufactured from high quality 12mm planed tongue and groove matching pattern boarding. One opening window comes standard and is properly morticed and tenoned, which is one of the strongest joints in woodwork. It has an opening, a profile, and is resistant to the elements. The window has a distinctive profiled 'lip' that covers the aperture of the opening in the panel and makes it weather resistant. There are two levels of opening in casement stays. 3mm horticultural glass was used for the glazing. All glazing is held in place with pre-mitered profiled beading (no awkward cutting required). Because this is a modular structure, the window panel can be installed on either side. This large window lets in a lot of light. Supplied with reinforced ledged doors and with padbolt. All Shire garden buildings come pre-treated with a base coat of a golden brown water-based industrial product on both sides (colour can vary from the picture shown). Shire recommends that you apply your preferred water-based top coat. This will protect the timber on your shed from weathering, extending its life, and must be repeated in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. For ease of handling and assembly, the product is supplied flat packed. All fittings and felt are included in the price, as are clear and simple installation instructions.
