The Hampton summerhouse has features that few other summerhouses have, such as proper joinery full glazed double doors with mitred beading. There are two opening joinery windows. The matching crisscross windows and doors not only allow light to flood into the summerhouse while also allowing plenty of air to flow in and out, but they also add a stylish touch. The Hampton summerhouse has a tongue and groove floor. High-quality wood sourced from sustainable forests is used to make this product to the highest of standards. Shire is well-known for the high quality of its products, which are manufactured in the United Kingdom. Shire buildings are constructed with a greater ship-lap tongue and groove construction. This differs from the fast-grown wood used on lower-cost sheds from other manufacturers. Slower-growing timber has a tighter grain, greater strength, and a longer life span. The use of tongue and groove construction means that the building is more weather resistant. The boarding of the summer house was made of softwood planed tongue and groove shiplap pattern. The true thickness measures 12mm. Shire structures are all factory-applied with a honey brown water-based top coat cure. The summerhouse will need a second coat of wood preservative and can be painted any colour you want. The windows on the summerhouse are properly morticed and tenoned. They have a profile and an opening, as well as weather resistance. To put it another way, the window has a distinct profiled 'lip' that covers the aperture of the panel opening, making it weather resistant. On casement stays, there are two levels of opening available. Please note: This product is delivered flat-packed to facilitate handling and assembly. The price includes all fittings and felt, as well as clear, simple instructions. Although the images show the summerhouse is painted, this product is not supplied painted.
