The big double doors make this one of the most convenient compact storage sheds on the market today. With outdoor storage commonly required for bulkier items such as lawnmowers, the double doors will provide much easier access, ensuring that you can utilise all of the storage space to get the most out of your garden shed. Because it is a Shire shed, you may be confident that it is made of high-quality shed lumber. Shire only buys lumber from Scandinavia and Siberia, where the greatest shed wood is grown. The lumber is tight-grained, producing less sap, and thus more durable than the faster-growing timber used by other shed manufacturers. The shiplap design allows for efficient water runoff and keeps the shed dry on the inside, while the tongue and groove structure keeps draughts at bay. A hasp and staple door is supplied for security (although no padlock is included). The roof and floor of the shed are made of water-resistant Oriented Strand board (OSB), which is similar to plywood in properties. OSB (Solid Sheet Board) is a superior 'Solid Sheet Board.' The shed floor also has floor joists, which give it a solid, substantial feel and enhanced load capacity. All shed windows are protected by glass. The windows allow in a lot of light and may be positioned on either side of the shed. All Shire garden structures are pre-treated on both sides with a golden brown water-based industrial solution (colour can vary from the picture shown). Shire recommends that you use a water-based top coat of your choosing. This will protect the lumber on your shed from weathering, allowing it to last longer, and must be repeated according to the manufacturer's specifications.
