Welcome to our light & ethereal 'Gossamer' collection. The earrings are cut from eco-friendly stainless steel, which is strong enough to form the very finest filigree shapes, before being beautifully textured on a series of anvils. This collection is inspired by delicate, woodland forms, the half light of dawn & dusk, & continues our themes of botanical sprigs & ancient classical mythology. 'Poppy' is a delicate, mid century style design, available in stud or hook version. Reminiscent of the seed head motifs of the printmakers of the 1950's, dried flowers, & architectural Autumn Winter landscapes, we love these additions to our collection. Stainless steel is quickly becoming a highly popular choice among jewellery makers. It has long been valued for strength, shine, hygiene, & tarnish resistance. It can be endlessly recycled, & is considered one of the most sustainable & eco-friendly metals in common use. Its colour is very similar to sterling silver, & it is hard enough to be cut into the gossamer light shapes you see here... in fact, it is so strong it can be tricky to texture on our anvils, but my goodness its worth it. Our oldest anvil is around 150 years old, & its still going very strong! Earrings & ear wires can be easily replaced should you lose one, so do get in touch if you need anything. All our postage & packaging materials are plastic free. Our business is run by a group of women in rural Cornwall, & we absolutely love what we do.
