The Silver Greenstone Drop Earrings by Stone Arrow Jewellery. This winning combination features New Zealand Greenstone (Pounamu) and recycled Sterling Silver disc, spiral and hook. The silver spiral is based on the unfurling fern fronds that are a common feature of the New Zealand bush. The earring clasp is our own design made from hardened recycled sterling silver and designed for ease of use and longevity. Small: Hook length - 22mm (0. 9 in), Disc size - 13mm (0. 5 in). Large: Hook length - 38mm (1. 5 in), Disc size - 23mm (1 in).Pounamu is a durable stone found mostly on the West Coast of New Zealand and is treasured by the Maori people as a Taonga or spiritual treasure. It is often difficult to spot on the riverbeds where it is found as it has a thick oxidised rind on the outside. All our Greenstone (Pounamu, Nephrite Jade) is guaranteed New Zealand sourced and cut by us in our workshop. Due to the varying nature of the stone, colours may vary slightly from the photo.
