75cl / 14% - The Soldier's Block wines are named after an Act put in place in 1915 that rewarded the soldiers returning from war with a block of land in Australia. These blocks were often planted with vines and some are still working vineyards today. On the nose there are aromas of raspberries, cherries and blackberries with a hint of spice, leading to notes of mixed berry compote, vanilla, soft spices and a dollop of cherry jam. Try this with roasted lamb.
