Some Of My Best Friends Are Professors: A Critical Commentary On Higher Education Written in 1958 by George Williams, a distinguished professor and novelist, Some Of My Best Friends Are Professors is a scathing criticism of the American college. In this book, Williams explores how universities fail in their duties to their students, and how they should improve. Intending to stir up academic discourse, Williams notes, "Perhaps the title should have been 'Some of Best Friends WERE Professors.'" This is an ex-library copy of the book, with a stamp of the library on the fore-edge, top-edge, and bottom-edge and on the title page. There are shelf reference numbers on the spine, residue of a library loan label on the free endpaper at the back of the book, and an envelope stuck to the back paste-down to hold loan cards. There is also a name inscribed on the front free endpaper and reference numbers on both the front and back paste-down. There is rubbing damage and the corners are bumped, the cover has some marks and discolouration. There is a gouge on the spine and the crown of the spine is frayed. The are marks to some of the pages.
