24 colour and BW facsimile reproductions of maps of the Southampton area from 16th century Elizabethan times to 1945 .. urban development in 18th century, WW2 damage etc. No inscriptions. Presented in a red folder which is a little colour faded. Suitable for framing. There is no explanatory text on any of the maps --- only the title of the image. NOTE WELL : There exists a 92 page booklet of explanation of the development of Southampton .by Welch which is supposed to accompany these facsimile maps. , This is NOT INCLUDED here .
