They are used to support vitreous enamel pieces while being fired in the kiln, and also provide a raised surface to allow heat to circulate fully around your work. Particularly useful for applying enamel to more than one side of a piece, stainless steel firing stilts ensure that your work piece is supported with minimal contact to previous coats of enamel. This firing stilt or trivet measures approximately 25mm x 30mm x 15mm, and features V-shaped raised sections to provide four support points for your enamel work.
