The Sterling Silver & Murano Glass Pebble Chainmail Necklace by NAIIADThis asymmetry in this design creates an eye-catching, modern piece of jewellery. The fluidity of the chain maille follows the curves of the neck down to the bust, where a large Murano glass pebble-shaped bead takes central stage. The beautiful glass bead, handcrafted by skilful artisans in Murano, Italy, is lined with 24kt yellow gold foil and Sterling silver foil. The chain maille, handcrafted with small Sterling silver rings assemble one at a time, is woven in the modern Persian pattern. It is complemented by a Sterling silver chain to the other side of the neck. A beautiful freeform Murano glass pebble dances freely with every movement. It is approximately 2. 5 cm wide. Each glass bead is handmade in Murano, Italy and is therefore unique. No two beads are exactly alike The necklace is approximately 16 inches/40 cm long around the neck. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like a longer chain (18 inches/45 cm). About the Designer Born in the beautiful South of France, I moved to Ireland 18 years ago. After travelling the world and doing various jobs, I learnt metalsmithing and jewellery design at the AFEDAP Jewellery School in Paris. I then discovered the art of chainmail, the ancient art of assembling rings one at a time to weave fabric like patterns with metal. Chain maille is beautifully fluid and tactile, and I love exploring the endless creative possibilities offered by mixing chain maille with traditional silversmithing techniques. It allows me to create modern, feminine and unique pieces of jewellery which are a true pleasure to wear. The creations are an expression of my own personal journey, finding and embracing my deep nature as a woman, my inner strength as well as my femininity and sensuality.
