The Sterling Silver & Red Murano Glass Ruby Cube Chainmail Earrings by NAIIAD. The small red Murano glass cubes are lined with Sterling silver foil, giving them a vibrant and shimmering colour. They measure approximately 6mm. The total length of the byzantine chain maille segments including the glass cubes is approximately 3 cm long. Sterling silver 4mm ball ear posts and butterfly closure. The Byzantine chain maille segments are handcrafted with care using small Sterling silver rings assembled one at a time, and combined with beautiful glass cubes carefully selected from high-quality artisans based in Murano (Venice, Italy). Each glass bead is handcrafted and therefore unique. Other colours of glass cubes are available. About the Designer Born in the beautiful South of France, I moved to Ireland 18 years ago. After travelling the world and doing various jobs, I learnt metalsmithing and jewellery design at the AFEDAP Jewellery School in Paris. I then discovered the art of chainmail, the ancient art of assembling rings one at a time to weave fabric like patterns with metal. Chain maille is beautifully fluid and tactile, and I love exploring the endless creative possibilities offered by mixing chain maille with traditional silversmithing techniques. It allows me to create modern, feminine and unique pieces of jewellery which are a true pleasure to wear. The creations are an expression of my own personal journey, finding and embracing my deep nature as a woman, my inner strength as well as my femininity and sensuality. Trying to learn and grow more each day.
