286pp. Good / Fair. Soft brown leather / skin covers, with gilt titles to cover and spine; also, gilt image of the Bard on black centrepiece to front cover. Covers remarkably clean for age; fraying to cover edges, and to top and tail of spine. Gilt top edge "cut", whilst side and bottom edge of block appear "uncut". Binding remains good. Some foxing to end papers, and to occasional pages, but generally, the text pages and illustrations are in clean order. Containing 11 plays, and with 16 full-page illustrations by Gertrude Demain Hammond (illustrations are tipped-in, with frontispiece being tissue-guarded), this is a delightful original copy. Inscription on FFEP ... "To Nancy" .... "24.10.12".
