This beautiful mug features beautiful, true-to-life drawings by Elwin van der Kolk and will quickly become a favourite for any bird lover. The Mug Stork matches the mugs in our customer favourite Garden Birds, Meadow Birds and Wading Birds series. The outside of the mug contains a drawing of a Stork and on the other side of a Stork on the nest. You will also find an image of its natural environment on the outside. This mug is dishwasher safe. Elwin van der Kolk, the Dutch biologist and nature painter, was fascinated by the nature around him from an early age. He spent much of his childhood watching and drawing birds. In his drawings he tries to capture nature in such a way that the viewer is encouraged to admire and protect nature. This modern designed mug is made of New Bone China porcelain. This material is fired in one go at a temperature of 1250-1300 deg Celsius. The added bone ash gives the material a light cream color and makes it translucent. Moreover, it is very strong material
