A long time ago, before satellites and weathermen were around to predict the weather with something resembling accuracy (very loosely in some cases), the most reliable means of telling the weather came from devices called Storm Glasses. A Storm Glass is designed to allow the owner to predict the weather based on the way the glass and the crystals react to air and pressure conditions: for example, small crystals and cloudy glass mean thunderstorms, whereas visible crystals means fog or humid weather, and clear glass means clear weather. Now, back in the day that would have been perfect for telling the weather, but these days you’ve got Siri or Cortana for that. What it does do, however, is give you an ornament that not only looks beautiful, but never quite looks the same way twice, giving it a transient quality that subtly alters the room you put it in without you ever having to move a thing.
