Our Strasbourg chess piece collection represents our finest chess pieces, beautifully carved in graded rosewood. With a large 4.75 inch (121 mm) king the set looks bold and impressive. Included are two different finial designs for the king, one a traditional cross, the other a very intricate hand carved leaf design. In addition, the quality of the hand carving is apparent in the knights, with their bold, flowing manes and pronounced muscle tone. These pieces are triple weighted with a flocked base to protect the playing surface. Simply one of the finest chess piece collections ever made.
