The Admiralty - N.A.M. Rodger. Published by Terence Dalton Limited (in their Offices of State series) Hardback with dust jacket, 1979. Within the framework of the English Constitution the evolution of the Offices of State has played a vital part. In this volume (the third of the original series) the author has provided a cogent account of on of the major institutions, the Admiralty. The naval history of Britain cannot be fully understood if separated from the administration and command which directed and supported the fleets at sea. This was the first ever general history published on the Admiralty. Condition: Good. Light tanning at the end papers, otherwise clean inside. Light tanning on the page edges and dust along the top. The dust jacket shows some marks each side, and fading on the spine and a little either side, plus strips along the top.
